Product Description Beyond point-and-shoot. Far beyond. Sony's DSC-H55 fortifies its powerful 10x optical-zoom Sony G-lens and large 1/2.3" Super HAD CCD with a battalion of photographic-experience-enhancing technologies. Face Detection and Smile Shutter optimize shots that capture the human face, while Optical SteadyShot optical image stabilization eliminates blur caused by hand shake. A variety professional-level features deliver optimal control, while advanced auto modes let you focus on the moment, not on settings.

Price vs Quality September 1, 2010 Ivan Yapur I think you get very good camera for the Price you pay.
The image is not that good indoors. But the rest very good.
The little camera that CAN DO IT! August 25, 2010 C. Robert Edewaard (Gainesville TitleTown) This camera never ceases to amaze me. I have owned it about 2 months and I have taken over 1200 pictures under all circumstances. I carry it with me everywhere. I am a serious amateur photographer who owns 3 digital cameras, and has owned many more. I take hundreds of pictures a month, and my specialty is journal photography of events and nature shots(lots of indoor, outdoor and macro shots). The image stabilization is incredible (supposedly double stabilization). I got great shots from a moving boat of moving skier. The wide angle (35mm equivalent f 25mm, yes 25mm) is so convenient for indoors and scenic shots. The flash looks so tiny yet can fill a room even a wide angle. It can do automatic scene selection almost perfectly, face recognition too. It goes to macro mode with no setting change. The 10X optical zoom is smooth and accurate, and with IS I have gotten incredible hand held pictures. If you take a lots of pictures, get a spare battery (under $10 on line). You will love this camera. I hope this one lasts A LONG TIME. Bob in Florida
Great Camera August 23, 2010 colorado mike I bought this camera for my honeymoon and couldn't be happier. I was looking for a good point and shoot camera that shot well in day and nighttime settings. This camera does it all... Would definitely recommend...
Great camera. August 12, 2010 Chanson S. Sim (APO, AP, US) First of all for $225 and free shipping this camera awesome for the price. I'm thinking that i should of went with a lower megapixel camera, to me if it makes any sense to anyone that it might be to detailed that the picture looks fake, might be a good thing. In a low lit room its not the greatest even with the flash, sometimes i find myself covering the flash with my fingers because of the placement of the flash. Great features. The only draw back is that the camera does not come with Carl Zeiss lenses.
great little camera July 21, 2010 sir pocket size with lots of features or easy mode if you don't want to mess with everything manually. i love it. even better with SD compatibility.
